These comics came from various thrift stores over the past few years. None of them are worth too much. I overpaid for most of them, probably. I noticed some of them have a tag of $7.99. I'm not sure what I was thinking. I don't know enough about comic books to be gambling like that. I'm sure they were an impulse buy.
I grew up reading my brother's Spider-Man comic books, so it was a lot of fun to go through these as they had the same ads I would see in those comic books. I used to spend a lot of time fantasizing about the novelty products for sale; some of them I even bought, like the Revolutionary War figures. I'm pretty sure I also bought the X-ray glasses and the miniature spy camera as well. There's an ad in one of them for Grit magazine. This is also something I got into as a kid. I would sell subscriptions to people in my neighborhood.
So, these are for sale on eBay if you're interested. We'll see what happens; I might be sitting on them for a while. The thing about comics and similar things like baseball cards, for instance, is that there are so many of them out there. Lots of competition.
In the beginning of this video, I removed Goodwill stickers from some of the comic books with Ronsonol lighter fluid. This fluid is great for removing stickers. I meant to show how there was no sign of any liquid on the pages after the fluid evaporated. I can assure you, there was no damage to the cover or pages whatsoever. It's pretty safe to use on pretty much any surface.
