Ingredients:
2 cups of flour
2 cups of sugar
3 eggs
2 teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
1 cup of water
wax paper
Directions:
To start boil water in your steam pan or saucepan...With a electric hand mixer, beat one egg at a time and add vanilla ext...Stir in sugar...Add flour and water and mix it well for several minutes...Cover the pan/bowl with wax paper, or you can lined it with cheesecloth, or even a thin kitchen towel, then add the batter on top of it as shown...Cover the lid with a kitchen towel, so the steam droplets won't land on the cake itself...It can make it soggy on top...Steam on high for 40-50 minutes, depending on the size... Don't open the steamer, no peeking, wait until the end, so it will rise and not collapse...Check with a toothpick for doneness....If you don't have a steamer, just boil some water in a medium to large sauce pan...Set a plastic colander bowl stainer, lined with light kitchen tea towel on the bottom and place it on top of saucepan...Cover with lined kitchen tea towel, so it won't get the cake wet...Steam for at least 50 minutes, with no peeking...
