Improved Performance. If you're currently looking to replace or upgrade your S197 or S550 GT's current clutch, this Exedy Grooved Mach 500 Stage 3 Clutch with Hydraulic Throwout Bearing is a good option. It works on stock to moderately modified Mustangs that see either hard driving on the road, or are taken to the track at least once in a while. A grooved pressure plate allows for more holding power, and accommodates aggressive driving. There are two versions of this clutch and throwout bearing: one for 2005 to 2014 Ford Mustang GTs and one for 2015 to 2017 Mustang GTs. Excellent Quality. This clutch disc is organic, maintaining excellent drivability. The result is smooth engagement and a firm pedal feel. The pressure plate is upgraded, letting this clutch handle more abuse without problems. In fact, this setup handles about 30 lb.-ft. more torque than a stage 3 clutch. Professional Installation. This job requires professional installation, because it involves dropping your tranny. It's also the perfect time to upgrade or replace your flywheel, so it's a good idea to pick one of those up as well. If you have advanced experience with clutches, plan on this job taking you about 4 hours.
