1. Take your stool softeners:
It’s seriously important! Besides medication, you must have enough vegetables and fresh fruits as stool softeners. Do not ignore it otherwise you will experience serious trouble after C-section.

2. Take it slow:
In all aspects of your C-section recovery, you should take it slow. If you're in pain, take rest. If you're tired, take a nap when the baby does. Just do not push yourself to a point of no return because you could really do a lot of damage. If you start to feel sick, experience a fever, chills, and pain that seems abnormal, get checked out.

3. Consider using a belly band in recovery:
Use belly band to recovery that helped a lot with getting in and out of bed. It is similar to using the pillow against your belly that helps relieve the pressure with counter pressure, but a lot easier to manage. I've also been told it helps your uterus contract faster, and although I'm not sure if there's science to back that up, it certainly can't hurt!

4. Stay ahead of your pain:
Don't let the pain medicine wear off until it gets unbearable. If you know you're already starting to feel the pain and the medicine is wearing off when you're due for your next dose, just take it!

5. Keep hydrated and fuel your body:
Keeping hydrated is an important thing anyway, but especially during C-section recovery. It will help with your milk supply if you plan to breastfeed, it helps avoid constipation along with your stool softeners, and can make a world of difference in how you feel. Additionally, putting good, healthy foods into your body can provide you with extra energy and won't make you feel sluggish and even more tired of bad foods. Keep in mind though, at the end of the day as a busy mom, eating any food is better than no food at all!
