Polly Products has been making 100% recycled furniture for over 20 years to help reduce waste and protect the environment. We are a humble team of eco-conscious activists located in Mulliken, Michigan who believe it is our responsibility as manufacturers to do what we can to reduce pollution to preserve our planet.

Plastic waste is a major concern today. In the 50s, when plastic was first invented, it was only manufactured in small, manageable amounts. But today, nearly 300 million tonnes of plastic waste is produced each year.

Unfortunately, plastic is created using chemicals derived from coal, oil, and natural gas, all of which produce toxic pollutants and carbon emissions when burned. Furthermore, though many plastics are recyclable, only about 9% actually get recycled. The rest get incinerated, which further contributes to carbon emissions, or are tossed into landfills and natural environments. At this rate, we are running out of room in our landfills, and the damage from plastic waste polluting natural environments will eventually be irreversible. This is why we here at Polly Products believe it is so important to manufacture and buy products made of recycled materials, such as our 100% recycled furniture made from milk jugs. We take the HDPE plastic that milk jugs are made of and melt it down so we can reuse it to create our products.

Furniture made of HDPE is strong and durable, lasting for hundreds of years. This means less plastic waste is generated. And our products can be recycled and reused once again at the end of their lifecycle.

Overall, manufacturing and purchasing 100% recycled plastic furniture can reduce the consumption of fossil fuels, save energy, and reduce waste and pollution.
