NEW 2023 Volkswagen Touareg - Premiere

The 2023 Volkswagen Touareg is a significant upgrade for the automaker's flagship model, providing an all-rounder SUV experience for consumers. The newly launched vehicle strikes a balance between a comfortable touring car, a superior towing vehicle, and an authentic off-roader. It's equipped with newly developed IQ.Light HD matrix headlights, a first for any Volkswagen model. The interactive lighting system enhances nighttime driving comfort by more accurately illuminating the road than ever before.

The new Touareg has seen major design upgrades both for its exterior and interior. Notably, the front and rear ends have been redesigned to make it instantly recognisable, featuring LED tail light clusters configured as a light strip, including a red-illuminated Volkswagen logo. The interior has been optimised for long-distance comfort, and the Innovision Cockpit has been upgraded with the latest hardware and software.

The vehicle also boasts a new roof load sensor integrated with the running gear electronics, providing an increased agility. The sensor communicates with Electronic Stability Control when a roof box is detected, allowing for increased driving stability. Conversely, when there's no roof load, the system enables a sportier performance.

The Touareg will be launched in five powertrain versions, all equipped with 3.0-litre V6 engines. Customers can choose from one turbocharged petrol engine, two turbodiesel engines, and two plug-in hybrid drives. The plug-in hybrid drive of the Touareg eHybrid develops a system power of 280 kW, and all engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox and the 4MOTION permanent all-wheel drive system.
