Complex Oscillator | Low End Percussion Patch

While most of our videos have showcased the Harmonic Oscillator or Complex Oscillator delivering a more traditional synth voice, in this video we focus on the percussive capabilities of the Complex Oscillator.
A fairly simple patch was created using the Complex Oscillator as the "kick drum/low tom" voice which heavily relies on the tight envelope the Multi-Envelope can generate. The top section of the Multi-Envelope received gates from the 1, 4 and 7 outputs of the Voltage Multistage. A few envelope shapes were then sent to the Complex Oscillator, notably the pitch "c.v. input" and the "timbre" input. In effect, opening these up with a snappy envelope created a harmonically interesting percussive source, especially in the lower registers.
Additional support from the Random Sampling's various noise sources provided extra percussive sounds.
