Once living alone on the planet Jakku, scraping a living through scavenging parts from ships, while awaiting the return of the family that she was separated from as a child, Rey’s journey has been full of adventure and self-revelation.

All of the Star Wars movies have brilliant original soundtracks and the music theme for Rey is one perfect example of keeping the “star wars universe” vibe while bringing something fresh. It gives us a feel of a “western adventure” with some “heroic” elements, translated in epic climaxes.

We went a little crazy in this experiment and restyled it with some “arcade game” synths, crossed with an “retro electro” beat, and a crunchy electric guitar to give it more weight, adding the “folk rock” layer to the piece.
