hyperpop in kpop & k-music

Описание к видео hyperpop in kpop & k-music

hyperpop first emerged in the united kingdom in the early 2010s, although technically the first use of the term appeared in 1988. a sub-genre of electronic music, it's characterised loud synths, exaggerated instrumentals, and effects such as distortion. the genre has been pioneered by electronic music greats like sophie (rest in peace), a.g. cook, hannah diamond, and 100gecs.

as hyperpop is a very new genre, there's not a whole lot of it represented in kpop, but i've pulled together 55 songs that derive inspiration from the genre. whilst not all of these songs are pure hyperpop, they all contain elements of what makes up the genre. hope you enjoy!
