Hey guys ! i'm glad to showcase this Gibson L7 from 1934, which is one of the rare 16 inches models (made in 1933 and 1934) : great opportunity for those who want the 16 inches L5 but don't want to sell the house ! Its specs are similar to the L4 from 1939 showcased on this channel (AS#41 ad AS#62) but the sound is way different, please compare the 2. Regarding the sound, i can feel the difference of quality between the L5, the L7 and the L4 (from best to "less best"). Don't hesitate to share your experience with these 3 models in the comments.


The standard is the very famous "It had to be you", composed in 1924 by Isham Jones and Gus Kahn. The guitar is strung with bronze strings DR Zebra gauge 12-54 (you can compare with the nickel strings on AS#55), and i'm using a dunlop purple 0.71mm pick. The sound is captured with a Neumann TLM 103.
