In this AU, this is how I interpreted Dally, cold as ice and doesn’t show or express any kinds of emotions even when he’s talking like he was in the book. But he is just scared to show any vulnerability to the others because he’s supposed to be tough, similarly to Darry who tries to be strong for his brothers. But after finding Johnny jumped by the Socs, he’s always looked out for him because Johnny’s more weaker and vulnerable after the whole incident. This was Dally’s last hug Johnny before the story of The Outsiders began.
