According to the footage from documentary filmmakers, Roger Stone inquired about getting a second pardon from Donald Trump for his role in the events of January 6th. The pardon never came to be, and Stone actually admits that he had those discussions. But the big question is "WHY?" Stone hasn't been charged with anything, and even though his activities were suspicious, so far there's not much to suggest that he broke the law. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins discusses this.

According to the Danish documentary film crew that followed Roger Stone around for three years, which had to have been the worst job in the United States at the time. Roger Stone asked for another, pardon, a second pardon, from one of Donald Trump's defense lawyers that was working on his second impeachment trial. They caught video of this, the Danish filmmakers. They, they have on video Roger Stone texting a man named David Shone, who was a defense lawyer working for Donald Trump. And this is what Roger Stone said in the text. At this point, I'd be happy if he pardoned me and Kerick again talking about Bernie Kerick. He's already pardoned both of us. So he would take no heat for it whatsoever. And then attorney shown responded, If he can be the only President impeach twice, maybe you should be the only person. Pardon? Twice. So shown seemed open to it, you know, And Roger Stone wanted that.
Pardon? But didn't get it from Donald Trump. Of course, in fact, nobody got pardoned for anything that took place on January 6th. Uh, if Trump gets back in office, he's made sure to tell us that he is gonna pardon everybody. But Roger Stone never got that second pardon. And yesterday Roger Stone did confirm to the New York Times that yeah, that happened. So Stone has already confirmed this, although he has also come out yesterday and said that a lot of the footage that's been released, it's been digitally edited, right? It's deep fake stuff. So he is already trying to say that what you see on camera totally didn't actually happen. The Danish film crew somehow created these elaborate deep fakes. Um, that's totally not true, by the way. And he can't back it up with any evidence either. But the big question of course, is why did Roger Stone want a pardon?
What'd you do? Acceptance of a pardon according to the Supreme Court is an admission of guilt, which is why you're no longer protected by the Fifth Amendment if you accept a pardon. So what'd you do, Roger? Now we have seen the videos, of course, of Roger Stone preparing for violence and suggesting violence was gonna happen as if he knew it was gonna happen. But we have not yet seen any evidence that directly links Roger Stone to the violence that happened that day. And I think that is an important distinction. Everybody watching this, I am assuming we all despise Roger Stone. But let's be fair about this right now, I have not seen the evidence to suggest that Roger Stone committed a real crime that day with regard to the stop the steel rally or the capital riot. And that is specifically what he was wanting. A pardon regarding as far as we know. So what was he doing that we don't know about? Because if you wanted a pardon, which he says, of course is yeah, they were
Gonna criminalize everybody's free speech. That's why I wanted it. Uhuh. No, that doesn't happen. So I want to know what you actually did, because to me there's clearly more to this story and Stone knows things that we don't, which is of course how Roger Stone operates. So that's what I want to know. Why did you really want the pardon? What were you doing behind the scenes that the public is not aware of yet? Those are answers that hopefully will come from the January 6th committee, cuz God knows they're not gonna come from Roger Stone. So we have to wait. But the committee is back at work.
