Two Baby Seals Saved From Plastic Straps

We despise packing straps. When these straps find their way into marine environments, they pose a significant hazard to all marine life, including seals. There is no stretch, packing straps are rigid and unforgiving. Once a seal becomes entangled in these straps, they tighten around its body, causing severe injury or even death as the seal grows or moves. Packing straps take centuries to degrade and will continue to pose a severe threat to marine animals. It would have been so easy to at least cut the loop!
