How to Win a National Fellowship (Fulbright, Rhodes, Schwarzman, Gates, Luce, Marshall, Mitchell)

National Fellowships are prestigious awards and elite programs that provide full funding for students to earn graduate degrees or undertake professional experiences abroad. As senior at Swarthmore College, I was awarded a Fulbright (Open Study/Research) and Henry Luce Scholarship (ceded Fulbright for Luce). Subsequently, I won George Mitchell Scholarship. I have also advised dozens of national fellowship winners over the last decade (Fulbright, Luce, Mitchell, Rhodes, Schwarzman, Watson Winners), including my younger brother, who was a Schwarzman Scholar.

I'm a designer and startup entrepreneur who invented FLOAT (https://buyfloat.com) and designed Publit (https://publitdesign.com), one of the easiest ways for individuals to create personal websites. My national fellowship years allowed me to reflect on my future and build critical skills to transition into the technology sector. But most importantly–through these programs–I have made lifelong friendships and connections with highly driven, interesting people who have found professional success throughout the world.
