Real city sizes in DND explained. Have you imagined roaming for hours through Waterdeep, Neverwinter, Baldur's Gate streets? Well in reality it would have been completely different experience. This video comapres famos DND cities of forgotten realms to real-life medieval cities.

All the maps were found from open national and historical libraries. Only maps with scales were used to maintain most accuracy.
For Paris map - I haven't found old map with scales, so I measure the "known distance" which was the width of Sainte Chapelle island and applied the measurement to the old map.
