Space Ships and Beautiful Planets #2 - Space Engine

Описание к видео Space Ships and Beautiful Planets #2 - Space Engine

What would it be like to fly over beautiful planets in a spaceship? Well, here I continue the exploration of beautiful planets with spaceships. Here are 3 planets and 3 moons. I have omitted "moons" in the title for simplicity. These planets and moons are procedural...that is they are created by Space Engine, a universe simulator. They are all "Earth-like" in the sense that they have liquid water. You won't see liquid water on #4 (the volcano flyover), but I promise it has liquid water. You can see more of this moon in my video "Mountains, Valleys, and Rings".

I think the mountains really stand out in this video, and hope that one day, humans will find planets out there like these. The fantastic music makes this video work, and is from Alex Storer - The Light Dreams. Be sure to visit his Bandcamp website listed below.

Here is a description of each of the 6 planets and moons...

#1: A moon of a red-colored gas giant with rings, showing an approach to the spaceship, the spaceship in orbit, and an atmosphere-capable spaceship flyover. The opening scene shows the Orion Nebula and the center of our Milky Way Galaxy in the background.

#2: Another moon of a gas giant with rings. There is a 2nd star in the system...not seen.

#3: Flying through a deep mountain canyon on a planet.

#4: Flying over a volcano on a ringed moon. You won't see the planet it orbits.

#5: A flyover of a planet that orbits a brown dwarf (upper right), which in turns orbits a double star.

#6: Over a planet orbiting a white dwarf and a brown dwarf (both seen straight ahead) in a globular cluster (lots and lots of stars). Flying past the edge of the planet's ice cap, leading to a view of the terrain along the ice cap's edge and the ocean beyond. Finally, an interstellar ship in orbit over the same planet, with a departing view of the planet at the end.

For those of you who have Space Engine 0.9.8.0, here are the coordinates, but keep in mind that I have done a lot of editing, so the planets/moons will not look like this, with one exception (#6).
