In today's video I show you how I get rid of the P0172 and P0175 fault codes, saying Fuel System is Too Rich. Why the engine is running rich, even when all the fuel and ignition components are checked, replaced or in a good working condition? The ECU enriches the fuel-to-air ratio to compensate for the false air leaking into the intake through the connections of the inlet manifold. The O2 sensors report extra fuel in the exhaust and the ECU turns on the Cruise Not Available issue on the dashboard.

I fix the vacuum leak problem: check and repair the isolator grommets retaining the intake manifold and pressing it down to where it belongs, make washers as a temporary solution to seal the intake until the new grommets arrive, show you once again the consequence of unscrewing/installing the bolts retaining the inlet manifold, so that to avoid pulling the bronze inserts out of the lower plastic part of the manifold.

The OEM number of a Jaguar X-type intake manifold mounting isolator is XR824849.
