Rattlesnake in with the foxes!!

Rattlesnake in with the foxes!! (Rattlesnake at 30:30 mark if you want to skip ahead) We were very surprised to find another eastern diamondback rattlesnake, this time in with the foxes! Thankfully the rattlesnake was rattling and the foxes were up on the platform keeping their distance. The foxes are too big to have been prey and the snake was likely just passing through and decided to take refuge under the log. This one was a little smaller but still snappy, I relocated it a ways away down the trail. Eastern diamondbacks are one of my favorite snakes to find in Florida, just not under these circumstances, we might have to revisit the idea of using a finer mesh wire around the bottom of the enclosures, I never would’ve thought we would have this happen twice!!
