How to set up an aux bus in Pro Tools

Описание к видео How to set up an aux bus in Pro Tools

In this short video you'll learn how to setup aux busses in Pro Tools.

Aux busses are a great way to add some flavor to an instrument or vocal. They allow you to add effects and process everything in parallel so you can introduce some interesting, more intricate textures to your music.

Bus Presets, or in this specific case "aux bus presets", are presets that work in parallel to your lead vocal. In your mixer, you can send a varying amount of signal to another channel prior to being routed to the master out. Artists typically do this when they want to keep the sound of the original channel strip, but still want to add in effect. Conceptually, this is like copy and pasting your vocal so that you now have 2 exact copies. Typically if we leave the copy dry you will just end up with raised volume. When we add effects to the copy, like "Crispy Vocal", we will get a unique advanced effect often sought after but too hard to achieve for most beginner to mid-level artist-producers. Not anymore. This effect is now achievable for all artist-producers.
