Every June, the quiet, meandering spring creek in central Idaho begins to boil with rising trout in the first or second week of the month. People from all around the world begin calling the local fly shop (Picabo Angler) nonstop, asking for a report as to when the bugs begin their annual spinner fall on Silver Creek. And that bug is the Brown Drake. We were able to get a few nights of emergencies (iPhone videos) and two sweet spinner falls this year between June 3rd and June 12th. but that was it! We had a very aggressive hail storm that killed many of our bugs in the middle of the hatch. Can't wait for next year. Thank you all so much for watching this video! We hope you enjoyed.
