If you want to hear my two cents about the 2019 Rhode Island SHORE fishing season as a whole tune into 8:29. Just my opinion as a hardcore recreational fisherman but I've heard similar reports from other shore guys all throughout New England. Overall a frustating fall, 99% of all feeding frenzies were filled with fish no bigger than 28 inches (which has not always been the case in years past). These past 2 weeks all blitzes have been filed with micro striped bass no bigger than 12 inches, a clear sign that the season is wrapping up. I cant emphasize enough if you're looking for fish over 20 pounds your best bet is to go at night and don't rely on blitzes to yield big fish. However water temps are still in the high 50's it aint over yet...
