Here is another installment to a series I’m doing on Minnesota’s great AMA trout fishing streams. AMA’s are Aquatic Management Areas that are created through the combined efforts and resources of the MNDNR, local Trout Unlimited chapters and the property owners of adjacent lands to the streams and creek. My goal is to introduce them to you. I share directions to where I park, how to access the stream, and what I used to fish it. You’ll get a feel for what the stream and banks looks like, as well as the typical size and type of trout present.


Enjoy this upload on my experience fishing East Indian Creek AMA in South eastern Minnesota. I believe this creek is in Wabasha county.

It rained a couple of days before, which explains the murky water.

This steam is supposed to have brooke trout in it. I did not catch any, all I caught were browns.
