Asylum Clock

Описание к видео Asylum Clock

En Español:    • El reloj de asilo

In this video, we review information about the asylum clock. When you have 150 days on your clock, you can apply for a work permit.

How you check your clock depends on whether you are applying for asylum with immigration court or with USCIS. There are 2 different ways of applying for asylum: (1) if you have a case in immigration court, you can apply for asylum in immigration court OR (2) if you do NOT have a case in immigration court, you can apply with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

If you are not sure whether you are applying for asylum with immigration court or USCIS, please read this page to find out: https://help.asylumadvocacy.org/faqs-....

Important: the immigration court hotline phone number (1-800-898-7180) will NOT work for people who are applying for asylum with USCIS! It is only for people who have cases in immigration court.
