RUDOLPH HESS AT SPANDAU PRISON - 1974

(9 Apr 1974) Footage illustrating the story of Former Deputy of the Nazi Party Rudolph Hess. An interview with Eugene Bird, Hess' former guard at Spandau Prison, discusses Bird's new book on the man, published after much controversy. Bird also filmed Hess at Spandau prison secretly on an 8mm cine camera, shown here. Also footage of Hess at Nuremberg Rally 1934 and later Nuremberg Trials, as well as his plane crash in Scotland that lead to his arrest.
