Blood trolls are an ancient troll subspecies who inhabit the swamps of Nazmir on Zandalar. They use forbidden blood magic, which corrupts the creatures around them and turns them into blood beasts.

During the final era of the Council of Tribes, millennia ago, a foolish troll summoned Hakkar the Soulflayer to the island of Zandalar, which released a plague of corrupted blood killing thousands of trolls. After the great plague, there were still those who clung to the magics of the blood god. They tested their magics and perfected them. This was the dawn of who the Zandalari call "the blood trolls".

The blood trolls' culture is very harsh and the most primitive troll culture. They fuel their voodoo with profane blood rituals and many who enter the swamps do not leave, instead becoming a sacrifice.

STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES

Strengths

-Choosing Loas as you advance through the tiers offers great versatility, with many possible strategies and options.
-Specialized counter units, unlocked by worshiping Loas and each one different from the others.
-Unique upgrades that can enhance even more the capabilities of the units.
-Powerful spellcasters, with good offensive synergies on their spells.

Weaknesses:

-Versatility comes at the cost of having to choose your strategy with anticipation, as you can only worship one Loa per tier.
-Counter units are made to counter specific enemies, so they excel against their target unit but are weak against others.
-Unique upgrades are expensive and should be researched if you have enough resources.
-Lack of ranged siege weaponry, relying on melee siege units to destroy buildings.
