This is a “pocket” groovebox released by Yamaha in 1997. At that time, the portable size and capability was a big deal. It can be powered by power adapter or 6 AA batteries, has regular 5-pin MIDI in/out and stereo mini jack output, so it can be used standalone or as a quite powerful midi sequencer (16 tracks/32000 events) to control other gear in your setup. 519 adjustable AWM2 voices, 20 drum kits and 32 voice polyphony is quite impressive. The built in effects are also usable, but for today’s standards a little weak. The non-backlit LCD display is a pitty (btw. the not functioning pixel stripes on this unit should be easily repairable, but I did not get to it yet) Anyway, this machine is fun and with some adjustments it can sound quite professional.
