Liezel Garcia performs "Ikaw Ang Aking Dios" at ASOP Year 6 Grand Finals Night

WATCH: Liezel Garcia swept us away with the soothing melody of the soft calm track “Ikaw Ang Aking Dios" written by Lorna Petrasanta at A Song of Praise Music Festival Grand Finals Night held at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum last November 13.

With its poetic lyrics and peaceful melody, the song is about appreciating God's kindness in our daily lives.

Awarded as the 2nd runner-up, the composer said that joining the songwriting competition is not about winning and losing; it's about singing praises to God.

As one of the advocacies of UNTV’s Mr. Public Service Kuya Daniel Razon and International Filipino-Televangelist Bro. Eliseo Soriano, A Song of Praise Music Festival aims to bring back gospel music in the lives of many people and support Original Filipino Music (OPM).

Hosted by Richard Reynoso and Toni Rose Gayda, the songwriting tilt is joined by resident judge Doktor Musico Mon del Rosario, a highly regarded physician-composer, musical director and record producer. Since its inception in 2011, ASOP has successfully staged sixth noteworthy milestones with each year's grand finale.
