The rate of female participation in the domestic labor force has dropped dramatically. On International Women's' Day of March 8th, President Tsai Ing-wen announced the government would start an initiative to share the burden of women's' family care to allow them to enhance their economic autonomy by fully participating in the workplace.

國內女性勞動參與率急速下降，三月八號是國際婦女節，總統蔡英文宣示，政府將帶頭分擔家庭的照顧壓力，讓女性可以無後顧之憂在職場上打拼，提升經濟自主權。
