I just couldn't resist it again, guys, and I was playin' it with y'all. I'm taking Pelita Air, again, for the second time!

Check-in was pretty much no-nonsense. My luggage was 3kg overweight, and to avoid the hassle of being overcharged, I purchased an extra 5kg of allowance for around Rp. 75.000 (roughly US$5). The check-in agent noticed this and, with only a single verification, sent me on my merry way. I did have to check my bag at the oversized baggage check area and was questioned about a box of packages full of spice packets, but that was pretty much the end of it. I had dinner, cleared security, and then dashed to the boarding gate as my flight was called for boarding.

This time, Pelita used their first-ever A320 in their fleet - PK-PWA. Upon boarding, I was welcomed by a bunch of energetic crews who were willing to assist with your bags and direct you to your seat. My seat was originally unintentionally occupied by someone who mistook 16A for 16F, but he moved eventually. I ended up making the same mistake as him - sitting at 17F instead of 16F. Luckily I realized my mistake fast enough to move before the seat owner came to my seat. I had an empty middle seat, giving me extra room to work with. They fitted the clean, comfortable cabin with Recaro BL3520 seats, the predecessor of Recaro BL3530. My seat was comfortable and slim, giving me 1 to 1.5 extra inches of legroom. It also featured dual literature storage, which was hugely appreciated. So comfortable the plane was, you couldn't tell that it was more than 15 years old.

Take-off was only slightly late, and once the seatbelt sign was off, I took the time to explore the new Pelita Air in-flight entertainment system. I expected some new creations, but it turns out that they simply cloned the old Starlight interface, which was based on Tripper, into a new standalone app that now requires users to input personal information to access the whole content. Using guest mode restricts pretty much all access to the contents. Some of the contents also failed to load, possibly either due to the fluctuating Wi-Fi signal or due to the slow server. The contents and layout were exactly the same as the previous Starlight system plus a few additions.

I was served blueberry bread this time, which didn't taste or look sticky like the taro bread that I had on my previous Pelita Air flight. The cabin crews continued their friendly service onboard, and they didn't feel and seem rushed in their movements during service. Communication-wise, some of the crews were a little bit too formal, but that was pretty much a non-issue for me.

Landing was around 25 minutes early, and I disembarked after a short chat and some pictures with the cabin crews. I then proceeded to the transit hotel after taking my bags which required me to wait for less than 25 minutes.

Overall, Pelita never fails to impress and surprise me; this flight was a true proof of that statement.
