Soul in Retreat

The beginning of the story and origin of the darkness within. Meeting the dark version of yourself, a foe you have never faced before now seeking to destroy everything that you are. Despite your best efforts the enemy only multiplies as you struggle against it. You are forced to sacrifice part of yourself, retreat, and build walls to protect what is left of yourself. Though you can only run for so long as the enemy will soon be at the gates once more. This is what the battle was like before having Christ the defender of your soul. No matter what was tried nothing worked against this enemy which conquered everything it faced. Losing each city one by one becoming more of an empty shell day by day. Hope you enjoy the song!
