809 staircases were built up and flanked by many statues to climb up to the mountaintop.
One of the sacred sites with many Reclining Buddha statues and seated meditation Buddha statues were carved on the natural rocks.
I have climbed up to worship for Buddha statue.
Foot Print of Buddha: Local people believed that Buddha stepped on this mountaintop and left. They pronounced: Phnom Preah Batt Chun Tuk and it became Phnom Santuk Mountain, today.
Reclining Buddha statues and seated meditation Buddha statues were carved on the natural rocks during the reign of King Preah Ponhea Dharma Reacha in 1474 – 1494. It has been maintained until today. #buddha #buddhistheritage #buddhiststory #buddhist #recliningbuddha
