Today on our 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe, we'll be doing a test fit on the CIPA clip-on towing mirror. That's part number 7070. It offers us a wide field of view. It's going to allow us to safely and easily change lanes, pass, park, or even back up while towing a trailer or camper. As you can see, I'm visible in the towing mirror, but not the factory mirror. If I take a few steps in towards my trailer, as you can see there is no blind spot by the way we have it set up. This is the view you get with just your factory mirror. The mirror itself can be rotated 360 degrees, so we can adjust it any way we want.

You can position it to most angles. We've got our up and down, diagonal, and side-to-side. Over here, the tabs are not going to interfere with the operation or movement of our factory mirror, and we can even still fold it in. Here on the backside, it uses two rubber straps to hold it in place around the mirror. The nice thing about them being rubber is it's going to help absorb some of that road, track and vibration. Also, since they're rubber, we don't have to worry about them harming the finish on our mirror. The mirror does come in a quantity of one, so if you'd like to pick up one for the passenger side, just use the same part number.

To begin our test fit, we're going to make sure that the arms are loose enough and open enough. That way, we can easily set it in place. Each one of the tabs here has a little lip. We need to make sure that that fits on the inside of the housing. We'll turn it back over, set the bottom in place, then the top.

Once we've got it where we want it, we can just hold it in place with one hand, and then run our straps. It's a good idea to have a little bit of tension on the straps already. That way, when you clip it in place, it holds the mirror in place. We'll bring it up, attach that top onto that hook there, make any adjustments we need, and we can just run our other strap. If we want to tighten it up or loosen it, we can just guide the strap through, and then pull it down through the other side. Let's run the strap just the same.

We can adjust them any way we want. It's that easy, we're ready to tow. That's going to complete our test fit on the CIPA clip-on towing mirror, part number 7070, on our 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe.
