Peter and Dr. Rae are on their biggest adventure yet with the largest fish in the ocean: whale sharks! Growing to sizes that rival most school buses, these ancient ocean creatures are under threat from climate change, habitat loss and a growing tourist industry. Peter dives with a research team into the warm waters off the coast of Mexico to gather critical data about whale shark health and migration patterns with the use of radio telemetry and state-of-the-art biologging technology. Later, Dr. Rae and Peter experience whale sharks up-close at the Georgia Aquarium. Here, Dr. Rae and scientists monitor two captive whale sharks swimming in the largest aquarium in the United States.
