In John Wayne’s classic western THE COWBOYS, Method Actor Bruce Dern created an unforgettable character that angered audiences and frightened the young actors who co-starred in the film. None were more surprised and panicked than Nicolas Beauvy. The talented youngster had already made a name for himself in several films when he was cast by director Mark Rydell as “Four Eyes,” the character Dern intimidates and brutally dunks in the ice cold river.
