HALF STRADDLE FOREVER LIVE @ JOE'S PUB - "Nurses in New England"

Описание к видео HALF STRADDLE FOREVER LIVE @ JOE'S PUB - "Nurses in New England"

They call me doctor, female doctor
The really good lines, oh, those are mine

Oh Yeah, those are mine
All the good lines
(all the very best lines)
are mine

"Here to help"
"Give them some air"
Oh yes, here to help, give them some air

Nurses in New England know all the lines
We've been secret smoking for so long
(oh the longest long)
When we don't smoke we might, like,
listen to this song

(Nur..nur- ses...)
Nurses in New England
Listen to this song

These are the things to know, as a professional
Don't smoke, hold the clamps, and love me forever

Oh Yeah, forever
Oh Yeah, forever
Pretend nothing else matters
(and save everyone)
forever

"Don't bleed out"
"Just smoke and love me"
Oh yes, don't bleed out, just smoke and love

...

Oh yes here to help
Give them some air
When saving lives, protect the shell
If puking, hold the hair

Make me feel better, make me feel good

Enjoy this live footage from the Half Straddle Forever 2015 Benefit Concert at Joe's Pub! We raised money for Half Straddle, an amazing NYC-based theater company that Chris (aka Kimberly Clark) has composed music for since 2008.

On this amazing night, fabulous guest vocalists were accompanied by a live band led by Kimberly Clark, performing all of Half Straddle's greatest original hits from their past shows.

This song, the title song from "Nurses in New England", which was performed at the Ohio Theater's Ice Factory Festival in 2009, opened the benefit performance. In the piece, it is sung by the character Nurse Derek Shepard, the head nurse at Putney Hill Hospital, a fantastical nurse-run hospital that treated the occasional marine mammal.
