Welcome to our first ride on the 2021 Kawasaki KX 250. This is a major model year change for this Kawasaki. With up grades like Hydraulic Clutch, new frame, body work, Rental 1 1/8 handle bars and electric start Kawasaki isn't playing any games in 2021. Changes to the braking system are new Nissin front master cylinder for higher pressure and more consistent feel. In the rear we have reduced the size of the rear brake rotor to better manage heat and feel. The clutch is all new with a Nissin master cylinder different plates and a dish style spring which allows for a easier pull, more consistent feel and a more progressive engagement. Suspension is KYB. Up front a lighter spring rate and revised valving allow for a more balanced feel and increased confidence in the corners. The rear also has seen revised components and a new linkage ratio to keep the wheel better planted under load. Kawasaki is aware that not all riders are created equal and that's why they have kept 4 way handle bar adjustability as well 2 way foot peg setting to customize your bike to your stature. Our intent for 2021 was to build the strongest motor in the 250cc class. With increased bottom end torque and great topend power this power plant is designed to get the power to the ground with minimal clutch action. All of these changes have been made to allow a rider to be comfortable on the bike because we know a rider that is comfortable is a rider that goes fast. So check out the new Kawasaki KX 250 at a dealer near you or give us a call at Maple Ridge Motorsports 604-465-0441 to answer any of your questions.
