What is sober curiosity? Well, being intrigued about living a life without alcohol!

This movement is a CHOICE, which is a stark difference from the way we have traditionally looked at abstinence from alcohol in the past in our culture.

The sober millennial movement is on the RISE!

The number of alcohol drinkers world wide had decreased by 5% since 2000, according to the World Health Organization and it is largely due to the younger populations.

Why are younger populations drinking less? One idea is that they have seen the impact that alcohol has had on the adults in their lives. The millennial culture is also rooted in personal development and wellness, which does not jive with alcohol use.

"One in eight American adults, or 12.7 percent of the U.S. population, now meets diagnostic criteria for alcohol use disorder, according to the study [published by JAMA Psychiatry]."

Why is the sober curious movement so good? Because it's preventative!

No one thinks they will be the one who's drinking progresses to the point of alcoholism, yet 1 in 8 Americans suffer from alcohol abuse disorder.

What our ego has to do with questioning our relationship with alcohol

The sober curious movement allows the opportunity to try an alcohol free life without the shame and stigma of having to label themselves an alcoholic.
