In this video I take my modified 500 Abarth 595 Competizione up to scottland with a few friends before it turned into a 250 bhp monster. Taking a road trip in the modified Abarth 500 / Abarth 595 has always been something I wanted to do. The reason the trip was booked in the first place was because one of my friends was due to receive his new Lotus Evora 400. Unfortunately it didn’t arrive in time for the trip so instead he arrived in a Ferrari California T! It was so great to See this epic Ferrari California T and over the next few videos I will be getting up close with the Ferrari and creating a California T video. Now my abarth 595 competizione is a small little hatch and compared to the Ferrari and the Porsche 996 Turbo that also joined us on the road trip did make me wonder if my car would be left behind by these two monster cars. More on how my abarth 595 /abarth 500 did will follow across these series of videos. For the first time in a long time over these videos my modified 500 abarth 595’s modifications actually enhanced the driving experience with solid brakes and coilovers making taking mountain roads a joy to drive. More on that to come in the next video. In summary in this video my 500 abarth 595, the Ferrari California T and the 996 Turbo make it to the lake district for the first stop over point before we get into the Scottish highlands and really experience some magical roads. The abarth 595 competizione was so great around those roads and you will see what kind of roads in the next video and I promise you will not be disappointed in how amazing the driving roads in the Uk / Scotland are! I have seen lots of videos of people searching for the best driving roads in the world or the most amazing driving roads in the uk. What makes these trips amazing are good weather, good company and a car that you love to enjoy the driving with. We were lucky and weather was on our side in part two of this video (next video to go live). I cant wait to do this again in the 250 bhp abarth 500 and enjoy all these roads again with the car running 250 BHP
