Gus Hutton from West Belfast has a long career behind him in manufacturing, including 18 years on the shop floor at Conway Mill.

However, the stresses and strains of this hard manual work - as well as his long-standing role as a union rep - eventually wore him down and he has now been out of work for some time.

A naturally outgoing, fun and friendly character, Gus found that his mental health really suffered as a result of being unemployed, but since being referred to Belfast Works Connect by his local Jobs & Benefits Office, he has been able to turn a corner.
