How to Install Long Tube Cold Air Intakes

With the ported intake manifolds installed after the throttle body, the bottle neck of the engine is now the OEM intake box along with its piping. Stillen claims that you will produce an additional 17.5 WHP with the simple installation of these intakes, without a tune. Well, let’s see what kind of improvements we can get with these intakes, AND a tune.

These intake pickups are found right behind the front bumper, allowing it to suck in the ambient outside air without it being heated from the engine. The beauty of the filters being placed there also significantly reduces the chance of sucking in water and hydro locking the engine. The piping is mandrel bent 2.5” OD fully polished aluminum. The intake filters are genuine K&N filters that come with a 1,000,000 mile warranty.
