Roy Buckner went to war alongside his twin brother, Ray.
Roy & Ray Buckner were 19 when they enlisted. Two of four brothers from East Texas who joined the Marine Corps. They were called the Texas Band of Brothers.
From Guadalcanal to Bougainville to Guam, from jungles to beaches, Roy fought alongside his twin brother through every battle until fate split them apart.
This is more than a story of war. It's a story of loyalty, loss and the unbreakable bond between two brothers who fought side by side to the very end.

This episode tells the true story of Marine Roy Buckner, drawn directly from his own interview and firsthand testimony. His account was originally recorded by Rishi Sharma, whose work preserving veterans’ voices makes projects like this possible.
