Join expert geologists and geomorphologists for a detective’s investigation into the clues and evidence for massive floods that have occurred around the world. We’ll look at the Missoula floods and other ice dam failures, prominent lake basin overflows, and landslide dam failures that have scoured immense canyons and reshaped the surface of the planet. We’ll also address how an examination of the evidence for the world’s largest floods can be scaled down to help engineers and flood modellers interpret high water marks and other clues during site surveys in the field.
