Have we entered a new era epitomized by "wars of religion?" Was Samuel Huntington right that the 21st century would be characterized by a "clash of civilizations"? How can citizens, analysts, and people of faith understand the multidimensionality of religion in situations of conflict, or as a resource for peace? This session provides analytical tools for understanding the role of religious factors in war and in peacebuilding.
