In this video, I have explained about Patrolling Duty is the most essential part of securities to protect the unit's security and safety. It's a duty to move around the entire area by walk or vehicle to observe and inspect the unit. Patrolling duty is required as static guards are not able to observe the entire area, and they are not supposed to leave the post vacant and go for the patrolling. That is why, some other guards are detailed to do the patrolling duty, especially at night. It may be done in day time also as per the requirements of the unit. Before going to Patrolling duty security guards have to ensure that they are well equipped with these items like stick/baton, communication equipment (Walke Talke/ Mobile Phone), whistle, Torchlight, Dress as per climate, wear Gumboot, water bottle, Rope, Notebook, and a Pen. The purpose of patrolling duty is to protect the unit from any criminal activities and to inspect the things that happened or going to happen and take immediate action to minimize the loss or damage.
