দেবভূমি ঋষিকেশ ভ্রমণ ভারতবর্ষের মানুষের কাছে বিশেষ আকর্ষণ । এই ঋষিকেশ প্রসিদ্ধ হওয়ার কারণ হলো , প্রাচীন কালে ঋষিজন বা মুনি জন রাক্ষস দের অত্যাচারে অতিষ্ট । তখন ভগবান রাক্ষস দের দমন করলেন এবং এই পবিত্র জায়গাটি ঋষি মুনি দের যোগ ধ্যান জায়গা হিসাবে প্রদান করলেন। ঋষি দের ধ্যান সঠিক হওয়ার কারণে এই জায়গা ঋষিকেশ নামে প্রসিদ্ধ হলো।

ঋষিকেশ উত্তরাখণ্ড রাজ্যের দেরাদুন জেলায় অবস্থিত। ঋষিকেশ গারোয়াল হিমালয় পর্বতের পাদদেশে এবং সমুদ্রতল থেকে ৪০৯ মিটার উচ্চতায় অবস্থিত । এবং শিবলিক রেনঞ্জ দিয়ে ঘেরা ।

হিমালয় পাহাড় এবং প্রাকৃতিক সৌন্দর্য দিয়ে ঘেরা এই ধার্মিক স্থান দিয়ে বাহিত গঙ্গা নদী ঋষিকেশে কে অতুলনীয় করে তোলে । ঋষিকেশের শান্ত পরিবেশ এ রয়েছে অনেক আশ্রম এবং প্রাচীন মন্দির।

প্রতি বছর এই ধার্মিকস্থানে হাজার হাজার তীর্থ যাত্রী ঋষিকেশ ভ্রমণ এবং মনের শান্তি ও ধ্যান করার জন্য আসে ।
