Tales' Anthrocon 2022 Con Video Medley

Anthrocon 2022. Wow.

I wanted to try something a little different this year with my convideo; I always record a LOT of stuff usually, and even when I don't I end up with a lot of stuff that doesn't get used in a normal 1-song video. A lot of fun memories and instances that should be enjoyed by those who took part. In addition, in a short con video, there isn't a lot of time spent for any 1 person, moment, or event, and clips are cut to a beat. I wanted to make the most use of all of my footage, and give moments a little more time to breath, time for myself and yall watching to appreciate these little moments a little more fully.

So this is an 8-track medley of a convideo set to Odesza, split up into different sections of the con that I experienced with a video camera this year. Some are proper events, others are similar areas or artsy-cut to music for mood.

Again, just places I brought my camera and not at all inclusive of what actually happens at a con (Panels, Main Events, Dealers Den/Artists Alley, parties and small moments etc). But I hope that if you're in here somewhere that you find yourself; 29 minutes is a LOT of time to show a LOT of people.

Special thanks to so many people out there this year that helped make this con such a special time for me. Some of you are my closest friends, and others are strangers-for-now, or even community leaders that I look up to. These things are hard to write without trailing off into word soup, so I'll just leave it at a very special thank you from the bottom of my heart. If you are in this video, thank you, and if you were along with me for the ride and aren't in this video (you specifically know who you are xD), an even bigger thank you.

Technical specs:
Camera: Sony F55
Recorder: Atomos NinjaV or Onboard AXS R-5
Lens: Sigma 18-35
Stabilizer: Steadicam Archer 2 (It's wobbly and unlevel a lot I know! D: )

Alternate camera: Sony A7IV, handheld.

I think that's about it. A LOT of learning about the new camera (btw I have a new(old) camera, and it's a lot to figure out, sorry for all the wobble and not-level shots!). Lotsa little mistakes and lessons here and there. It's really cool though. And fun. Which is important.
