As most of you know, I lost my brother, Jordan, to suicide 7 years ago. He was the most talented human I’ve ever met. Wrote, recorded and played his own music, painted and sketched, performed magic, surrender to full time ministry.

Jordan was a revolutionary being who loved harder than anyone I know. He was compassionate, excited, loved the Lord with his whole heart...and he also battled clinical depression.

For those that don’t know, clinical depression is a chemical imbalance in the brain. It’s a disease. And one day my brother’s brain was taken over by that disease.

But God.

As devastating as this loss was and still is, my family and I have learned to live with the grief instead of in it. I can say without a shadow of a doubt, that bc of Jesus Christ and the empty grave, I will see my brother in Heaven again. He’s more alive than we are today. And that is what has gotten me through for so many years.

I wrote this song in a practice room at Belmont University a few months after Jordan died. I’ve never publicly played it for anyone until last night.
