Kent Cemetery. Came and Went. Kent, Oregon. Sherman County

In our first Sherman County visit we hit up Kent Cemetery. Not a whole lot going on in Kent these days except an abandoned gas station with old pumps visible from the highway while zipping by this ghost town.

In this episode we meet two civil war veterans and some of the earliest pioneers to live out their days in Kent. Sadly, I could not locate the headstone of Mildred Smith, a woman who met her unfortunate end as displayed on her headstone 'Killed by Merl Smith". Short and sweet, much like the time of this town.

Getting here is extremely easy, just a simple turn off lonely Route 97. I assure you, you'll have the whole place to yourself with some nice views of the snow capped mountains.
