HoBao Hyper VTE - 1/8 GT 4S Speed Test

Did a speed test with the HoBao VTE 1/8 GT, using:
Battery: Centro 4S 6800Mah 14.8V 75C
ESC: HobbyWing EzRun Max8 G2
Motor: HobbyWing EzRun 4268 2500KV
Pinion: 19T
Spure: Stock 48T
Internal gearing stock: 43/13 = 3.3
Final Drive Ratio (FDR): 3.3 x (48/19) = 8.33
ESC Timing: 0 degrees
Motor Timing: Stock, not changed. I guess it is around 40 degrees.

FDR at 8.33 should be on the safe side I believe.
HobbyWing says a 1/8 touring car with 4S and a 2600KV motor
should have FDR at minimum 6.0.

RESULT:
Max speed was 82.2 km/h = 51.1 mp/h.
I think that is fast enough for on-road racing at the gokart track.
But I could maybe use a pinion 1-2 tooth larger, that would be 20-21T.
But I will start with this 19T pinion and check motor, esc temperature.
Also it is only about 2-4 degrees Celsius , 35-40 F, outside now.
So in summertime have to check motor, esc temperature again.

This HobbyWing 2500KV motor is only rated for 4S, not 6S.
The ESC can take 6S. But in this class I believe they are limited
to max 4S battery. So that is why I am using this 2500KV motor
and 4S battery. I am not trying to get maximum speed.
Around 80-100 kmh (50-60 mph) and not to hot electronics, that
is what I am targeting. For about 5-7 minutes racing as that is how
long a 1/8 GT electric car race is.

The tires I am using today are some
GRP Tyres 1:8 GT T03 , GTH03-XM3
"XM3 Soft compound - Use on clean tracks with medium grip and medium size asphalt, in mid range temperatures"

Not the best tires on wet asphalt. But good enough
for this speed test. If dry asphalt I guess I could get a bit higher max speed, just a few 1-3 more kmh.

Also the ride height is raised with about 10mm.
So ride hight is about 20-22mm now.
That is to high but I will start here and lower the car
later when I have tested it on the gokart track and see
how low I can have it.
