Purchased 5-30-2022, motor burned out (literally let out the magic smoke) approx 14 months later. Of course, 6 of those months were winter-cold weather, so the unit was not used at all during those 6 months either.

HART (TTI, same company as Ryobi and Milwaukee and Ridgid...) only provided a solution that required driving to the warranty center, which is a 1 hour drive each way. The unit would not be fixed during that first trip, thereby requiring another trip to service center approx 3-4 weeks later. Therefore, they expected 4 hours of travel time (plus 1 hour waiting on the phone, plus time spent at the service center both trips).

In my opinion, that is not reasonable. I have a Direct Tools locally (owned by TTI, the maker of HART), no reason the DIRECT TOOLS store could not have accepted this in for a warranty claim in my opinion.

Also, they were not willing to reimburse the price of the motor, nor send me a motor.

Therefore, my experience with this HART tool is very poor -- it died much too quickly under very light duty use, then the warranty process was less than desirable.

My opinion is to consider buying from a better manufacturer, such as Dewalt, Husqvarna, or Stihl.
